Blue Skies

these birds had been sitting on a telephone line, so I screamed at the top of my lungs to shock them into flight

Looking at this photo, I feel a sense of freedom and happiness. It reminds me of the sky on a hot summer day. The direction the birds are flying in makes this photo a lot more smooth and and it makes it calm. I believe this photo is an easy photo to connect with.

This is a very unique photo because you were able to capture the birds flying in a relatively straight line; it doesn’t look scattered or too busy. I love the colours of blue in this photo; they fade throughout the sky and show balance. I also like how you incorporated a lot of the sky in this photo, because the clouds add to the photo and overall make it a stronger and more interesting photo.

There is nothing about this photo that I would change. You made use of every single aspect of this photo and it was a great choice to leave this photo in colour. Good job!

Jess, I find this photo very inspirational and calming, which is ironic considering you were “screaming at the top of [your] lungs”. Hahahaha The composition is great because you left room for the birds to move into and the silhouettes of the birds create a variety of shapes, adding interest for the viewer. Well done!
